DOG PARKS - Dog Depot Dog Park in Round Rock - Texas

We've been taking our dogs to the Dog Depot Dog Park near downtown Round Rock for several years. It's a great place to let the dogs socialize with other pooches and to unwind leash-free.
They love it!

Sometimes it does get a bit crowded on the weekends, so come super early, or visit late. The dog park opens between 6am to 6/8pm depending on the season.

Here's the website for more info and directions - DOG DEPOT

At the main gate, you can choose to separate the small and large dogs in separate fenced areas.

Plenty of fresh water for the dogs to play or to cool down.

There is usually plenty of balls and Frisbees laying around to play catch. When we think of it, we try to bring our own to leave behind as our dogs have done their share of wear and tear.

Picnic tables and plenty of dispensers for "poo bags" and hand sanitizer.

The dog park is adjacent to tennis and basketball courts. The paved trail called, the Greater Lake Creek Trail winds from the dog park alongside some apartment complexes and the greenbelt of Lake Creek. It's a great area to stroll with the dogs on the leash. The trail ends at a busy two lane road -  A.W. Grimes Blvd.

Many cyclists will take this trail and cut across to the other side and pick up on another trail, Brush Creek Trail E.

These dog parks are especially wonderful for those who live in apartments and don't have a fenced yard. With over 2 acres of running space, it's definitely a great way to spend the afternoon with your dog!
