Transferring over archive photos of our visit to the Texas State Park - Guadalupe. This gorgeous area is well known for the bald cypress trees.
The last time we were hiking, there were divers in the area exploring the Guadalupe river. We had also camped in the primitive section on a steep hill overlooking the river below. It was very eerie that night as we were the only campers in the area due to the late season.
What also is remarkable about that camping trip is our strange encounter with something or someone throwing rocks at our camp and stalking us, not to mention a strange smell. Sounds like Bigfoot? We'll never know.
Guadalupe State Park is about 80 miles west of Austin. Well worth the drive to go wading or swimming on a hot day. Don't forget to pack a picnic!
